Starting a business is only the beginning. Managing a Small Business provides a practical introduction to the day-to-day management skills needed to operate and grow a small business effectively. 

Students will explore management and leadership styles, goal setting, workplace culture, team building, workforce considerations, and strategies for managing business processes. The course also examines financial decision-making, human resource considerations, technology, and other operational issues that small business owners encounter. 

This course is for: 

  • Current small business owners and operators 

  • Entrepreneurs preparing to manage a new business 

  • Small business managers and supervisors 

  • Individuals responsible for managing employees or business operations 

  • Professionals interested in developing their leadership and management skills 

  • Anyone seeking a stronger foundation in small business management
