Theatre Production I   

Go behind the scenes and discover the technical and collaborative work that brings live theatre productions to life. This hands-on course introduces students to the essential elements of theatre production, including stage operations, set construction, lighting, costumes, properties, sound, and production management. Participants will learn how different theatre teams work together to transform creative concepts into successful performances. 

Through participation in a major stage production, students will gain practical experience working with production crews, reading technical documents, following safety procedures, and applying professional theatre practices in a collaborative environment.

  • Performers interested in understanding the behind-the-scenes aspects of production

The class does not meet separately; students are assigned roles in bringing together one of the mainstage shows (performance or tech/crew); Build days Fridays and Saturdays; Rehearsals evenings
